The Motivation Everyone Waits For Isn't Coming, So Do This Instead

Your body doesn't wait for your brain to be on board. Sometimes it leads. A short walk. Stretching for five minutes. Putting on real clothes instead of the same worn-out set you've had on for two days. These aren't small because they're easy. They're small because that's what makes them doable on a hard day, and doable is the entire point.

Shrink the task until you can't say no

The reason most of us stall isn't laziness. It's that we've made the task too big. "Get in shape." "Get organized." "Fix my life." Nobody feels motivated to do that, because that's not a task, it's a mountain.

So shrink it. Not to what sounds impressive. To what you'll actually do when you feel like garbage. Not "work out for an hour," but "put on my shoes." That's it. You don't have to earn your strength with an hour of misery. You just have to keep moving.
